For all you handy do-it-yourselfers, here is the appropriate glue for stabilizing hairline cracks in pottery and earthenware objects. (See our other listings for stabilizing cracks in porcelain and china.)
Mixed and packaged here in our studio, this is the same professional adhesive we European-trained restorers use for stabilizing hairline cracks in client's earthenware and pottery pieces.

It is a low-viscosity, non-yellowing, solvent-based adhesive formulated for softer ceramic bodies. When used correctly, it is absorbed into the crack and prevents a hairline from traveling, separating or breaking apart. IMPORTANT NOTE: It should be used ONLY after a piece is thoroughly cleaned and all stains have been removed or you'll adhere the dirt in the crack! (We recommend you purchase our manual for correct and easy methods of cleaning and stain removal for all kinds of ceramics.)
This little kit contains enough glue for stabilizing dozens of cracks, plus step-by-step instructions and tips. It's easy to use and a little goes a long way.
Priced at $9.99, the US shipping/handling charge of $2.00 has been added. |
