DESCRIPTION: This mid 19th Century, c1860, majolica plate is in a cabbage leaf motif. Brilliantly coloured with an emerald green glaze, it features three overlapping cabbage leaves that form an interesting rippled border. The veins and details of the leaves are highlighted by dark green glaze giving a three-dimensional effect. Fabulous on a wall or plate rack! The back shows the Copeland signature and 3 tiny stilt marks. CONDITION: Excellent. No chips or cracks; minor appropriate crazing visible on back side. RESTORATION: None. SIZE: 8-3/4" diameter.
