DESCRIPTION: Here is a matched pair of mid 19th Century majolica plates by Wedgwood in a grape leaf motif. Both are brilliantly coloured with an emerald green glaze and feature a lattice design near the rim and intertwining grape leaves and vines. The veins and details of the leaves are highlighted by dark green glaze giving a three-dimensional effect. Fabulous on a wall or plate rack! The back shows the Wedgwood signature, the number 7, and 3 tiny stilt marks. CONDITION: Excellent. No chips or cracks; minor appropriate crazing visible on back side. RESTORATION: None.
