DESCRIPTION: A lovely example of richly coloured cobalt flow blue, this platter depicts a stylized Chinese scene with pagodas, flowers and trees surrounded by a geometric and floral border. The "flow" is particularly good on this vivid cobalt blue platter signed Poutney & Co, a Bristol pottery. This is the Mandarin pattern and dates to c.1900.
CONDITION: Excellent. No chips or cracks; minor appropriate crazing visible on back side.
RESTORATION: None but for professional cleaning and stain removal.
SIZE: 16" x 12" with a depth of 1-1/2". A yummy piece!
