DESCRIPTION: A beautifully executed self portrait in oils on canvas mounted to board. We date it to the first quarter of the 20thC, English School, but not an artist we recognize, nor is it signed. Nicely framed in a contemporary frame that complements the rich jewel colors in this impressionistic painting,
CONDITION: Very good. There is an air bubble, 1/2" x 6", that has formed between the canvas and the board that is invisible in most lights (over artist's left shoulder) and does not detract from the quality of this work. A painting restorer could remove the bubble if it bothers you.
SIZE: Outside frame measures 14-1/4 ins. wide x 15-1/4 ins. high, inside live area is 9-1/4 x 10-1/4 ins.
